Metal Processing 120
This course is open to students in grade 11 and 12.
Pre-requisite: Metal Fabrication 110
Metal Processing 120 is a continuation of Metal Fab 110. This is a project based course that will introduce students to (SMAW) Shielded Metal Arc Welding as well as machining metal. SMAW, or stick welding as it is called, uses an electrode to join two pieces of metal together. Students will learn to work to very close tolerance (.001”) while building projects that involve both arc welding and machining.
